Apparently in the UK since Liverpool is the capitol of culture this year, July 10th is Beatles day. July 10th, 1964 was when the Beatles came back home from America where Beatlemania was started and were greeted by thousands of screaming fans back home at the airport. That same night they went to a recepetion for their first feature film, "A Hard Day's Night."
This is the FIRST ever Beatles day and reading all they have planned, I'm jealous. I feel like why does this have to happen just in Liverpool? I feel that we need to have an International Beatles day. I know I'll be celebrating July 10th. The funny thing is is that they made mop top wigs!
On July 10th, they want to hear everyone's Beatle stories and they are raising money for charities as well.
They have SO many events happening and I think that this is a great idea to show how a band could have such an impact on the world. It's extradorinary.
Liverpool hopes to make Beatle day a landmark day on calendars and they want to re-create Beatlemania.
